My family & I have been working shareholders for two seasons, and we have loved the experience. It is important for my kids to know where their food comes from, the process of growing it, and the work involved. I want them to know that it doesn’t just magically “appear” in the grocery stores. I want my food to be free of pesticides & GMO’s, but buying organic can be very costly at the store. And I don’t want my food grown in Mexico, Costa Rica, or Guatemala!! The CSA has given my family the opportunity to have quality local produce, grown without poisons, and the understanding of what it takes to make all that happen.
